Pilates

Pilates is a form of mind-body exercise that uses a series of thoughtful, controlled exercises to strengthen and stabilize your core including, abdominals, back and hips from the bottom of your ribs to the top of your hips. The more stability and core strength you have, the less prone you are to injury. One of the most important things you can do for your overall health is to strengthen your core.  Not only do we need core strength for any athletic activity but everyday activities including balance, picking things up, bending over, reaching for things or carrying something heavy. All of these functional activities require good stability that comes from your middle.
