Janet Dalzell

Janet retired early from a corporate career and moved to Bobcaygeon in 2010 when she completed both her RY500 Yoga and shortly after Mat Pilates certifications.

In 2012 she opened her studio Bobcaygeon Yoga and Pilates and has enjoyed teaching ever since.  She is a firm believer that yoga is for every BODY and credits her success to the personal attention she gives to her clients. A true testament of her success is the number of students that remain loyal to her teaching and guidance, returning year in and year out.

Her compassionate teaching style and love of music is evident in all her classes. Her students enjoy fluid, mindful movements set to traditional, soothing music.  However, Janet also likes to experiment with music, at times, looking for current music that might otherwise be unexpected, reminding her students that yoga can also be light hearted and fun. 

Janet’s approach on Yoga is simple, you do it because it makes you feel good, keeps you healthy and makes you happy. She enjoys welcoming new students to her studio, building relationships and community and is looking forward to continuing to deepen her relationships with her students while attending this retreat.

Louise Spittal

Louise began opening the door to “Energetic Healing” in 2005 after a life altering illness.  She studied both locally and internationally learning Energy Healing modalities and Spiritual Development. She became very involved in the impact of trauma and everyday experiences, where they affected and influenced the lifestyle patterns and self worth of many of the women she has worked with.  Louise works with crystals, essential oils and the guidance of Spirit to facilitate healing through the body.  Her goal is to bring kowledge to others of how they can create their own healing.  

Through this passion Louise has designed and hosted Women’s Retreats for over 13 years.  She provides a healing oasis for women to experience Energy Healing and Meditation, to explore their own self awareness, connecting and creating friendships with other like-minded women.  

Her passion is to offer a space for women to have the time to listen to the whispers of their hearts, to nuture and love themselves! Louise is grateful for this opportunity to bring together the nature and energy of Nosara and the beauty of the divine women who will grace us with their presence.

Nosara, Costa Rica

Yoga, Meditation and Sound Bath

We will begin our day each morning by gathering for a variety of Vinayasa and Gentle Yoga practices with Janet. Evenings, we will unwind with a guided meditation with Louise. As a special treat, one evening we will have a guest perform a welcoming ceremony introducing the land and stories of the indigenouse people ending our evening with a relaxing Sound Bath experience using instruments like singing bowls, rain sticks, shamanic drum, chimes and more. 

Free Time 

There will be lots of time to enjoy all the beauty of Casas Kismet and the surrounding areas. Excurions include;  local tour guides providing vast knowledge of the area, culture, nature, and who know best places to pack adventure and fun for your holiday. From a relaxed nature tour adventure on an ATV tour to an evening sunset or afternoon catamaran cruise there is an excursion for everyone. Massages at Casas Kismet can be available if booked ahead.

Cuisine

All meals are prepared by the inhouse chef who takes great pride in sourcing local, fresh, and mostly organic ingredients for meals that are beautifully plated and packed full of flavor. Enjoy typical elevated Costa Rican dishes, getting a taste of the culture while supporting specific dietary requests. Meals at Casas Kismet are fun and communal experiences. They are a great way in which to meet and enjoy the company of your fellow guests, make new friends, share life experiences, and laugh

A night out!

One evening for dinner we will head into town and enjoy eating at a local restaurant taking in and experiencing the local culture and cuisine.

Transportation

Transportation time from Liberia to Casas Kismet is approximately 3 hours.  We will be helping to arrange group transfers on the first and last day of the retreat. When booking a flight plan to arrive in Liberia Airport late morning, early afternoon and depart no earlier than mid to late afternoon.  Depending on the number of people travelling together, the cost will be approximately $50 US one way.  Please bring cash to pay the driver. The driver will make 2 stops along the way one to pick up items at local grocery store and another bio break. Due to the weather and flight delays, it is recomended that you consider arriving the day before the retreat.  The Hilton Garden Inn is situated close to Liberia airport and provides and airport shuttle.  Once you have booked your flights please send your flight itenerary to Cathy to co-ordinate the transfers.

Accommodations

All the accomodations are newly renovated and  come with a kitchen, air-conditioned, free wifi and covered patio. If you want a single room, don’t delay booking as they go first.
